The vertical standard is the upright tube of a cuplock scaffold. Cups are fixed along its length, and horizontal ledgers lock into them, so the frame goes up without nuts and bolts. JBFS makes it in light, medium and heavy types, in lengths from 1000 mm to 3000 mm. The system is used for access scaffolding and, in adapted form, for formwork and shoring. Finish is red oxide paint or hot dip galvanising.
